That’s A Wrap Queenland

They say ‘When you close a door another one opens’ That’s exactly what has happene! You have fucken broken me. The last 16 months have been soul-destroying. No home, i had to leave my job as i couldnt be put on a roster, so no money.

‘How the hell does this happen’? I think that all the time -what the hell went wrong? people say ‘COVID’ but what the fuck, why does everything have to be screwed cause of that… After all the shit that has gone down, homeless for months in the middle of holidays and no where to stay-I’m done! months of heart ache, tears, anger and actually thinking i don’t wont to be on this earth. Now i read the bible every night to feel like i am worthy.

The worst thing was having to put Shia in a cattery AGAIN, she ended up in there for months, 3 different ones as they were full, that in it self was costly all our money went on that. I’ve never cried so much this is horrible, how do you get out of this crap. I cant think straight I miss Shia so bloody much my heart actually hurts. FUCK I hate my life.

Your a joke Australian Government, I had to go to court to prove we were homeless and had no money that in its self was demoralizing. They would not help us as we weren’t ‘citizens’ in fact she stood there and said ‘no, ahh no your NOTHING us, cant help you. How dare they call me ‘NOTHING’..What total bastards, I’ve been working and paying my taxes for years, but still NO help! what did they do… put us on the Queensland Homeless Register and told us to go to the Salvation Army for food. I couldnt stand it any longer i walked out.

Left the courthouse driving around for a place to stay, we drove past a Bli Bli real estate so we went in to put our name down on the list, knowing we wouldnt get anything but just having names down would be a start. I told them the situation, two of the girls were from NZ, they couldnt believe what had happened. Before we left the real estate they had us down for 2 inspections that day. Fast forward, we got to see the another one that she rang and said i have spoken to the landlord and you AND the cat can move in, no big payout of monies. WE DIDNT even hesitate we said ‘Yes’ to that and she moved forward the moving in date. Did i feel bad about others looking for a place – NO FUCKEN WAY.

A big shout out to RAY WHITE real estate in Bli Bli. They could see that we were struggling like others but she said we sounded more genuine they took a chance on us and we are so grateful just to get in. Now Shia can come home and i can look for a job.

2 weeks later i got a job at Peregian Springs 5 star rest home, i worked my arss off, and finely got ‘ONE WAY’ tickets back to NZ.
